Alternatively, cover can be restricted to Breakdown, Explosion, Collapse or Accidental Damage.

Sudden and Unforeseen Damage can also include Damage to Own Surrounding Property as a result of explosion of insured pressure plant.

The insurance cover provided is subject to the terms and conditions of the policy, including exclusions - for example the cost of maintenance is excluded.

The reinstatement basis of loss settlement applies to all plant other than plant used outside and is subject to an obsolescence clause.

Plant and machinery insurance solutions

Plant and machinery installed at premises can be insured, either on an individual item or a blanket basis. In both instances cover excludes fire and the associated perils that are insured under your fire policy.

The Machinery Options policy allows customers to choose which items of plant and machinery they want to insure and select the cover that is most appropriate. The widest level of cover is Sudden and Unforeseen Damage.

The All Machinery Policy provides cover on a blanket basis for all plant and machinery at the premises. Whilst this policy does not provide for an Inspection Service, a separate Inspection Contract can be tailored to meet requirements.

Whichever option is chosen, cover is on a reinstatement basis.
