Carriage and Storage of Hazardous Substances
Assessing and inspecting the way in which hazardous substances are stored and transported within the UK is taking an ever higher precedence with the enforcing authorities. Our specialist services cover:
Carriage of Dangerous Goods - Road Tankers
From the 1st July 2006, the Carriage of Dangerous Goods Regulations (CDG) and the European ADR require road and rail tankers operators to have examinations and testing carried out by an Approved Inspection Body. Our services include:
- Initial Certificates of Inspection
- ADR and UK Domestic Periodic Examinations and Testing
- CDG Written Schemes of Examination for 'old' tanks including schemes based on the Energy Institute model for petroleum tankers
- Advice on repairs and modifications to road tankers.
Control of Major Accident Hazards Regulations (COMAH)
Allianz Engineering can provide guidance and technical advice with respect to drawing up written schemes to satisfy HSE Guidance Document HSG 176 Storage of Flammable Liquids in Tanks. This can be used to support the Major Accident Prevention Policy called for under Regulation 5 of COMAH.
